Brian Keenan is a singer/songwriter from Brooklyn, NY.

His most recent release was 2015's "Fits & Starts". The record captures the many moods and influences of the artist – from Wilburys-esque road songs to Scott Walker ballads, Replacements burners & syrupy sweet Donovan folk numbers. In total, there are 10 tracks of vivid imagination and storytelling that add color & definition to the artist's catalog.

He is joined by a cast of veteran players including James Preston (Zachary Cale, Heaven's Jail), Rob Heath (Justin Townes Earle, Allison Moorer), and Kirk Schoenherr (Chet Faker). Also featuring Jen Keenan in her debut on keyboards and vocals. Recorded at Russell Street Recording (Brooklyn, NY) by engineer Alex Lipsen (Nada Surf, Okkervil River, Phosphorescent) over the course of a 3-day January blizzard. The record was produced, mixed and mastered by the husband/wife team of Brian & Jen Keenan.

In 2013, Keenan and longtime friend/collaborator Ben Yonda released "Broken Brothers", a 6-song split EP. It features 3 tracks apiece, each representing some lost tracks from the artist’s catalogs.

For his debut solo record "Today This Year", Keenan sought the help of Grammy-nominated producer Jamie Candiloro (Ryan Adams, R.E.M., Willie Nelson) to track at legendary Avatar Studios in New York City.

From 2004 to 2010 he was the lead singer/songwriter for Proud Simon, an Americana/folk outfit originally from Rochester, NY. Under Proud Simon he released 3 full length albums and 3 EPs.
